Rider-of-the-Week
This week's "Rider-of-the-Week" is Nichole. She was riding the Taco Ride for the first time and hanging out with the gang from the bike group "Night Train."
What earned her this distinction is that Nichole is from the Lone Star state of Texas and is a Longhorn fan.
With the Husker's move from the Big 12 Conference and all the bashing of Texas that went along with it, we just wanted to show that some good things come from Texas. Of course, it helps that she's really cute!

Rider-of-the-Week
"Team Bat" from Des Moines is our "Riders-of-the-Week." These ladies, along with some guy friends (who we're not showing), traveled over to make a trip on the Taco Ride.
"Team Bat" are regulars on RAGBRAI and according to some riders, one of the most fun groups to hang with on the week-long ride across Iowa.
The whole group appeared to be having a great time in Mineola. Hopefully, they will come ride with us again. |

Rider-of-the-Week
We're making Andrea our "Rider-of-the-Week" this week. Why? Because she's the only person last night who asked if they could have the distinction.
Okay, Andrea is also a long-time rider of the Taco Ride and rides almost every week. In addition, she's a member of "Team Wreaking Crew" that rides RAGBRAI every year.
Obviously from the picture, Andrea was enjoying the Street Dance party! |

We're making Mike Rounds our "Rider-of-the-Week" this week. Mike is a long-time rider of the Taco Ride and rarely misses a week. Plus, he helps with various trail projects and clean-up.
This week he earned the distinction for being a good sport and trying the direct pour Margarita at Tobey Jack's Mineola Steakhouse. Despite the fact he turned some of it into a fountain, it looks like he enjoyed it!
Another great night on the Taco Ride! |

Rider-of-the-Week
We don't know this guy, but he arrived in Mineola soaking wet after being out on the trail when the downpour of rain started. In the true spirit of the Taco Ride, he got his Margarita before worrying about drying off.
We made him Rider-of-the-Week because we thought he represented all the riders who got caught in the torrential rains on the way to Mineola or had to tough it out and ride back in the storm. |
